FY 2026 North Star Certification
Online Training & Exam 2026
This course is for advisors that are seeking training to pass the North Star Certification Exam. This full training course covers all the topics in depth that are on the certification exam. Learners may take this course for initial certification or to renew their certification.
In-Person Training & Exam 2026
This course is for those who have attended the 2025 North Star In-Person training presented at the 2025 ASBDC Annual Training in Orlando, FL. In order to be certified, learners must pass the exam provided in this course. This certificate is for FY 2026. You may only pursue certification with this exam if you attended the in-person training in September 2025.
There is no training in this course, and only delivers the study guide material and exam.
CEU Training 2026
This course is for advisors who have received approval from the North Star team for CEU credits as an alternative training to the standard pathway training and exam requirement.
This certificate is for FY 2026. You may only pursue this certification option if you have received written approval from the North Star team that your CEU requirements have been met. There is no training in this course; once submitted, and verified by North Star staff, only a certificate is provided.
Renewal: Lite Training 2026
This course is for advisors that have are actively certified in the current fiscal year to renew their certification for the next fiscal year.
This certificate is for FY 2026. Only those previously North Star Certified may pursue this training option to renew their certificate.
This course includes training and a certification exam.
